My sister is a posessions purger. She usually tries to set aside one day during her summer to drive down to my house and help me clean something that has gotten out of hand. Since we got the new car which is bigger than the old car, I had to do some purging myself to get it in the garage. She suggested that since the car I used to drive, a 10 year old Passat which my husband will now get to drive is still a pretty nice car, I ought to clean out the other half of the garage so we could fit both cars in there.
So she came down one day and we got the garage mostly cleaned out, but we kind of resolved that it is doubtful that I will ever be able to get both cars in our little garage. We also have some bikes, and lawn care equipment and bags of weed and feed and stuff like that in there.
I measured my brother's garage, by the way, and I think it's essentially the same size. The door is the same size, anyway. And they fit a suburban and a little Mazda in there. I ought to be able to fit a Big Mazda and a passat in ours...
My sister is coming back today to help me start cleaning out my cellar. I get her for two projects this year! I have to rearrange my cellar around a large weight bearing beam that is just put in the wrong place. In order to get the old furnace out and a new furnace in, most of the crap on one side of the beam will have to be moved to the other side of the beam.
Not a very exciting blog, eh?
you have bags of weed in your garage? what's that about? lol...
